What the f*** will we be watching?
Good question
Partying with Manson is a 60-minute, one-woman theatrical tour-de-force delving into the twisted mind and world of Susan Atkins, a young hippie acolyte who fell under the spell of Charles Manson and his notorious “Family”.
This darkly comic and profoundly unsettling play offers a raw, unfiltered dive down the rabbit hole of how a shy young woman became a stripper in Anton LaVey’s Church of Satan before graduating into one of the most toxic cults in American history that firmly shut the door on all the bright hopes of the Peace, Love and Happiness Hippie Revolution.
Through the fractured lens of Atkins' consciousness, the audience will be taken on a wild ride through the psychedelic 60’s, from the Summer of Love to the dark Armies of the Night—an era of free love, free drugs, mad mind-fuckers, protest marches and police riots and a countercultural revolution gone totally crazy climaxing in a murderous rampage of unbelievable violence.
All in the hope of getting a record deal.
You had to be there.
But are probably glad you weren’t
